About project

For several years now, CTC Rijeka has been offering students programs which aim to reduce and prevent addictions. We think that organizing free, interesting and modern workshops is one of the ways young people can spend their free time.
Project Rik@ has involved young people in preventive program of suppression of addictions by active involvement in development of community. Youth can participate in informatics workshops, development workshops and debate club activities – and all activities are focused on prevention of addictions and irregular and excessive use of new technologies.
Informatics workshops for youth include advanced use of word processors (MS Word) and spreadsheets (MS Excel), basic and advanced use of photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop) and basic and advanced course of web creation languages (HTML and PHP). After completion of education youth will have the necessary knowledge and skills for conducting and promotion of their own actions in local community.
One part of the Rik@ program is also the celebration of the Fight against Addictions Month from 15th November to 15th December which will offer parents practical advice and free tools for prevention of new technologies addiction.
All of the programs are free thanks to financial support from Ministry of social policies and youth, city of Rijeka and Primorsko-Goranska County.
