About project

20th - 27th  September 2013

Mosaic of European Identity project has brought together participants from seven European countries and connected them through topics on formation of local and European identities, citizenship and history. For six days, participants from Croatia, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia and Turkey were engaged in activities in which they discussed their attitudes about identity, ways of forming their local identities and presented history of their cities. During their stay, participants have learned about Rijeka, a city which was divided among different countries and systems of authority in certain periods in 19th and 20th century, and which, generally speaking, had very turbulent history. Through city games, treasure hunt games and other activities, participants have explored genesis, history and legends about the certain locations in Rijeka.
