Curt
Cotner
Curt Cotner is an IBM
Fellow and the chief technology officer for the IBM
database server products, with responsibility for
overseeing the technology directions for DB2 and IDS.
Prior to his role as CTO for database servers, Curt worked
in DB2 for z/OS as the chief product architect, where he
also led the design and development of DB2 Distributed
Data Facility (DDF), stored procedures, Java, and
WebSphere integration.
Curt currently manages the design and development of the
database application development and database
administration solutions for both DB2 and Informix IDS.

Phil Grainger
Phil has 20 years experience of DB2, starting work in 1987
with DB2 Version 1.2. Since then he has worked with all
versions, including DB2 9. Beginning as a DBA for one of
the largest users of DB2 in the UK, Phil is now Product
Manager for CAs line of DB2 solutions. Phil has always
been a keen supporter of user groups and is a regular
speaker at events, as well as being the Computer
Associates representative on the European IDUG Planning
Committee.
In addition, Phil is a regular contributor to the IDUG
sponsored DB2-L discussion list.

Namik Hrle
Namik
Hrle works in the IBM Boeblingen Development Laboratory
and is responsible for strategy and technology directions
of the lab's Information Management department. As IBM
Distinguished Engineer and a member of the IBM Academy of
Technology he belongs to a small circle of the top
technical leaders whose work and expertise impact the
direction of IBM. He is a member of the Information
Management Architecture Board, Technical Experts Council
and many other IBM's expert teams that work on strategic
technology topics as well as addressing customers
information technology needs and requirements. Holder of
numerous patents, outstanding technical achievements,
author recognition and corporate awards, Namik Hrle is
respected as the ultimate expert in the area of
intersection between enterprise applications, such as SAP,
and information management technologies. Another area of
the highest competence is his work with customers. The
customers engagements range from hands-on solving their
acute technical problems including major improvements of
the affected products and procedures to advising customers
executives on the most appropriate technology for given
business needs. He is one of the most sought after experts
by IBM sales, marketing and technical support teams world-wide.
As a crucial player in numerous proofs of concept,
benchmarks and executive briefings he has been directly
linked to many customers success stories.
Outside
of IBM he's frequently speaking at conferences on
information management topics and regularly voted among
the best speakers.

Klaas Brant
Klaas Brant is the founder of KBCE, a company that
specializes in DB2. He specializes in administration,
tuning and backup/recovery strategies. Klaas has been
working with DB2 for more than 20 years and has published
many DB2 articles. He is also the co-founder of RedStone
Innovations, a company that focuses on IT training
worldwide. In the DB2 community the DB2 Symposium is one
of the most famous RedStone Innovations events. Klaas is
the chairman of the Dutch DB2 User Group (DDUG) and an IBM
certified DB2 Database Administrator. Klaas is a member of

Jan
Henderyckx
Jan Henderyckx
is an independent consultant,lecturer and author. He has
over 20 years of experience with DB2 and has presented at
several conferences and user-groups worldwide. He was best
overall speaker at the ’98 EU IDUG and ’03 EU IDUG which
put him into the IDUG Hall of fame. He is the co-author of
two versions of the book “Application Design For High
Performance” and has developed and thought several
seminars covering many aspects of relational databases.
You regularly find his articles in magazines. He is a
member of IBM's Gold Consultant program and holds almost

Mike Bracey
Mike Bracey is part of the
IBM Software Business in Europe providing technical
support for DB2 for z/OS and related topics. He has
extensive practical DB2 experience, gained over 18 years,
of DB2 application design, data modelling, and
performance monitoring and tuning. His recent roles
have included technical support for IBM Data Management
Tools and for the DB2 for z/OS beta programs in Europe.

Mirna Kos
Mirna works in Zagrebacka banka as senior database
specialist. She has worked as DB2 database administrator
on z/OS for over seven years and through four different
DB2 versions. Recently Mirna has dedicated her time to
planning and implementation of database maintenance
process automation, datawarehouse support and maintenance,
batch automation, exploiting new features of DB2 8 for z/OS
and planning and implementation of test data masking.
Mirna is IBM Certified Database Administrator (V8),
Certified Solutions Expert (V7) and Certified Specialist
(V6/V7). She is currently engaged in the IDUG Conference
Planning Committee for Europe.

Nenad Vidak
Nenad has over five years of working experience with DB2
for z/OS in Zagrebačka banka two of which as database
specialist (database administrator) and three as senior
specialist for operative systems (system programmer for
DB2 for z/OS). Recently focused on: developing and
maintaining procedures for DB2 disaster recovery,
exploiting new features and optimizing DB2 V8 NFM data
sharing systems, evaluating benefits of the zIIP specialty
engine and establishing procedures for systematic
monitoring of DB2 performance (performance warehouse). IBM
Certified Database Administrator and Solutions Expert on
DB2 V7 and V8. |

Željen Stanić
Željen Stanić is in IT more then 25 years. Was working on
different positions such as programmer, developer and DBA
for DB2 and IMS. Currently works as Technology Specialist
at CA Inc. With SQL/DS was working from 1983, with DB2
started to work in 1989. Started to work for Platinum
Technology in 1995 as a consultant for DB2 and DB2 tools.
After Platinum acquisitions in 1999 works for CA Inc. in a
similar role – supporting MF Database Management solutions
as well as other mainframe solutions. Was supporting DB2
customers in different countries: Croatia, Slovenia,
Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Germany,
Russia, Turkey, Greece, Kuwait … Speaker on numerous DB2
User groups and DB2 conferences. |
